Lancaster Theological Seminary

Theological Education for every generation. Established in 1825 by leaders of the German Reformed Church in America, Lancaster Theological Seminary is a seminary of the United Church of Christ. As a school with deep ecumenical roots, our students come from diverse denominational backgrounds to prepare for ministry through a curriculum that has been carefully designed by Lancaster's outstanding faculty.

Classroom education is meshed with three years of field and contextual education experience. Spiritual and vocational formation are supported through a rich worship life and participation in small groups which meet weekly with faculty members and selected pastors during the first two years of the M.Div. degree program. Pennsylvania College of Art and Design

An accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art & Design (NASAD), Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCA&D) is a professional art college, offering four-year Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) programs in: Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, and Photography.

The college also offers Certificate Programs in Digital Design Series: Web, Digital Design Series: Print, Home Interiors, and Mural Painting.

Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology

Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology is a State-owned fully accredited two-year residential technical college. The College provides full scholarships for financially disadvantaged students. School District of Lancaster

Established in 1836, the School District of Lancaster is the second oldest district in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The School District of Lancaster serves a diverse population of approximately 11,700 students: 54.1% Hispanic, 23.3% African American, 20.1% Caucasian, 2.4% Asian/other.

The District's thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, one high school campus and two alternative schools are home to approximately 1,550 staff members, including administrators, teachers, counselors, and support staff. The nine-member Board of Directors governs District activities with a total operating budget of $137.6 million for the 2006-2007 school year.
